Last year, a safety shower and eye
wash station were added to the lab (in front of REL
200 & 201). The additions of these safety devices were a necessary first step in the
event of a chemical accident. Each device is easily accessible and properly marked with
signs. The lab (REL 201 and 200) is also equipped with a first aid kit and an emergency procedure poster detailing the emergency procedures for Molten Asphalt and Cement Burns. The safety and well being of our
students, faculty and staff will always be a primary institutional goal at WRSC. WRSC strong presence in the area
of safety is also illustrated by implementation of Environmental
Health and Safety at UNR.
